Edna's reaction to my essay
Yesterday I handed Edna a copy of my new book and showed her the essay of her experience last year titled, 523 Beckman Drive. I was quiet while she read. I could see the emotions cross her face as she re-lived that harrowing experience. When she finished she looked over at me and didn't say a word. She just smiled. I asked her if I had her story correct and she quietly said, "Yes. That was a little hard reliving that night, but thank you for writing my story."
What an amazing, now 100 year old, woman.
Thank you Edna!
