About Me
|
I have lived my entire life in Will County in the state of Illinois. My childhood was deliciously spent on a farm with my four brothers, horse, dog, Mom and Dad. I married at twenty and had three sons and one daughter. I worked for and achieved my Associates Degree in Ag Business from Joliet Junior College when I was pregnant with my first child. I was fortunate to be able to stay home and raise my children until my divorce at age 35. My focus then became making house payments and getting enough sleep while raising four teenagers.
I began working in earnest in sales, and made a stab at completing my Bachelors. I took many classes at North Central in Naperville in Marketing, but parenting and earning a living took over my free time. After 13 years of being single, I was fortunate to marry my sweetheart Rick in 2004. It was time to go after that illusive BA. I went to Governors State University in 2010 and earned my BA in Interdisciplinary Studies. Without missing a day I continued on and earned my MA in Communications in 2013. My teachers there were marvelous, and my dream of writing was re-awakened. Out of Masters Project Isserian Tales: Dinner at Eight was born. This collection of twelve short stories was the start of my professional writing career. Philosophical Disquisitions: Another Journey was released November 3rd 2022. It is the 6th in my series. |
